Light Weight Panel - Aluminum Honeycomb Sandwich Panel is a very popular material for building decoration in cladding and ceiling, which is made from colored Aluminum coils and Aluminum foil honeycomb core by special polymer adhesives. The surface color is copied from wood textures or marble or granite textures and printed on the aluminum sheet by roller coating, it's Aluminum sheet but looks like a wood panel or stone panel. It is a very good subsititute of wood or stone panel because it's much less weight and cheaper panel. It is a lightweight but high strength and good flatness panel, you can use it for cladding and ceiling of buildings or vessels.

Descriptions

Aluminum Honeycomb Panel is made from good quality PVDF or PE coated or anodized aluminum sheets with and honeycomb foil by bonding and laminating with high polymer adhesive, it is a kind of special sandwich composite material and panel with features of low weight and cost, high tensile and impact strength, good flatness, smooth surface finish and durable colors, customizable thickness and sizes and designs according to project requirements and drawings.

Selectable surface face material is not only aluminum sheets but also other metal sheets like copper or brass sheets, stainless steel sheets, titanium-zinc sheets etc. or HPL or fiberglass sheets, we can customize the honeycomb panels according to the projects specifications and drawings.

Stone honeycomb panel is a high-tech product made by bonding thin natural stone sheet to the aluminum honeycomb panel with adhesive. The decorative stone sheet can be almost any type of stone, such as granite, marble, sandstone, limestone and so on.
At present, stone honeycomb panels can be basically divided into stone aluminum honeycomb panels, stone steel honeycomb panels, stone fiberglass honeycomb panels etc. The thickness of the decorative stone for stone honeycomb panels is generally 3mm to 5mm for matte and mirror panels, and 5mm to 8mm for coarse panels. The thickness of honeycomb panels can be determined according to different applications and design requirements. When used as exterior wall panels, the thickness is usually above 15mm. Due to the thinning of the thickness of the decorative stone, coupled with the advantages of lightweight, high strength, and good rigidity of the honeycomb panel structure, the stone honeycomb panel not only has the surface effect of stone, but also has properties that ordinary stone doesn't have.

Compared with traditional stone, stone honeycomb panels have the following advantages:
1) Lightweight: The average weight of stone honeycomb panels is about 16kg/m2, which is almost 80% lighter than solid stone of the same thickness. The reduction of this weight can greatly reduce the weight load of buildings, lower labor intensity, and save construction costs.
2) High strength: High mechanical performance indicators such as plane tensile strength, interlayer shear strength, and bending stiffness. In terms of deformation and impact resistance, the impact strength of 20mm stone honeycomb board is about 10 times higher than that of 30mm thick stone.
3) Good safety: After being subjected to strong impact or overload bending deformation, the surface of the stone will only rupture locally, without producing radiating cracks, and will not rupture or fall off as a whole.
4) Easy processing: Ordinary processing tools can be used on site to cut and install molded products that need to be trimmed, and various types of shapes can be made with smooth and beautiful lines.
5) Economic and aesthetic: According to the needs of the building, any domestic or foreign stone fabric can be selected, especially those with low strength and lack of variety, for composite. This can not only maintain the main performance indicators of natural stone, improve its durability, but also greatly improve the utilization rate of stone and save natural resources.
6) Energy saving and environmental protection: The thermal conductivity of ordinary solid stone is 3.5W/(m • K) to 1.3W/(m • K), while the thermal conductivity of stone aluminum honeycomb panels is 0.104W/(m • K) to 0.130W/(m • K), which is within the range of thermal insulation materials. From this, it can be seen that stone aluminum honeycomb panel is a thermal insulation and energy-saving material, while also having the function of sound insulation and noise reduction.
Stone honeycomb panels have overcome the disadvantages of heavy weight, low strength, and high brittleness of traditional stone materials.
